Opportunities with the Community Market
Food insecurity in Edmonton has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The C5 agencies have responded by developing a Community Market for those struggling.
The Community Market provides over 700 families with fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, bread and other pantry necessities every other week. We hear from our community members how the Community Market helps relieve some of the stress created by the pandemic and economic slowdown.
Driver
Pick up food hampers from the Community Market and deliver them to our most vulnerable recipients in Edmonton.
Stocker
Go through non-perishable donations to check the packaging and the best before dates before organizing donations and stocking shelves.
Client Services
Orientate people to the Community Market, monitor and restock supplies and perform cleaning duties.
Hamper Prep
Prepare hampers of primarily fresh foods that are later delivered to our most vulnerable community members.
Community Partnerships
Do you have a program you would love to help facilitate? Do you have your own programs that you think would be an asset to the community? In need of a space to be able to run that program, group, or club?
We are always looking to partner with groups, services and individuals to create new programming, expand programming or give an already established program a place to host. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved.
